Safety First

 

 

Above everything, be safe.  Some locations have no off-road parking areas, some don't even have "shoulders" to pull off onto.

 

The good news is that none of our roads are very busy, so there are times that you can stop for five or ten minutes without seeing another vehicle.

 

 But never stop on the road if you are in a blind spot for traffic approaching from behind your location.

Always have a good line of sight so that you will not get rear-ended.

Be aware, if you attempt to pull over to the road's shoulder, in many locations there are drainage ditches on the road's edge - be careful.
