#20 - Lobach-Borger-Yost Stone House

I have little to share with you about this building.  I am hoping that this tour will cause old-timers in the area to step forward with some stories.

I do have an interesting fact - this house is as near to the geographical center of Eldred Township as I can find.

Also, my wife and I were once sitting in the building with the owner - a true old-time Pennsylvania Dutch.  He wanted to say something private to his wife, so he said it in Pennsylvania Dutch.  He didn't know that my wife was German and could translate it.  We couldn't resist letting him know - she told him in Pennsylvania Dutch and we all had a good laugh and became good friends.

At the stop sign, make a left onto Church Road, in a moment, you will be treated to incredible views of Blue Mountain.  Continue to the stop sign (9.1m), cross the intersection and continue, you will soon see St. Matthew's Church.

Just before you reach the church, you may wish to pause to take in the view.   Then, as you approach the church, take the left going east (you will see the church parking area that you are familiar with), continue on White Church Lane until you reach the Fiddletown Road stop sign (9.7m) as you did before, but this time make a right onto Fiddletown Road and continue to the stop sign (9.8m).
