#41 - Chapple Creek Bridge

This is obviously not a one-lane bridge.   This bridge got a much-needed rebuilding in 2018.  It is interesting to consider how many of our roads have "serious" bridges like this one and how many have mere steel "drain" pipes allowing the water to flow and not interfere with traffic.

An interesting topic is how the contours of the land control the flow of water. The Rocky Mountains out west are "host" to the Continental Divide - the divide runs along the peak of the Rockies. A rain drop that falls a half-inch to the west will end up in creeks and rivers that bring it to the Pacific Ocean.  Just a slight move to the east and that rain drop will end up in the Atlantic Ocean - most likely taking part of the trip down the Mississippi.
