This is a Kid-Friendly Tour

a. Encourage your kids to take pictures along the way.

b. See if your kids want to keep a "journal" - their feelings about what they see.  They may even want to submit this to their teacher for extra credit (our daughter did this and ended up being skipped a grade - true story).

c. Have them count the number of one-lane bridges you cross.

d. Or have them count the number of all bridges.

e. Or have them count the number of stop signs that you come to.

f. Count the number of times you go up a hill and how many times you go down a hill.  Maybe even encourage your kids to say "Ooooh" as you go down a very steep hill.

g. Keep a list of the types of vehicles that you see, like tractors, motorcycles, bikes, horses, etc.

h. Count the number of ponds that you see along the route.

i. Check our Signage section - there is a Road Name Check-Off List

for your kids to keep track of the roads you pass that have names of the

Town's founding families.

j. Have them keep a count on how many times their parents lose their temper during this happy activity...lol

Early in the tour, at stop #9 - Mock Park Grove, there are picnic tables and benches under shade trees where you can snack.

There is also a trail to take

you down to the creek below (Princess Run).

At stop #35 - the Community Center, there is a playground and picnic table at the rear of the building - (accessible from the right side).  You will find a wide variety of playground equipment there.  Maybe bring a picnic lunch along.
