This stately house has been on the south bank of the Aquashicola for over one hundred years.  I am hoping that our friend, the current owner, will be able to provide more details for this post in the near future.

At the stop sign, turn right onto Lower Smith Gap Road and immediately left onto Point Phillips Road.  The trip up the mountain is exciting & adventurous as you go higher and higher trying to reach the peak.  (During the winter, on the drive up, you will have great views to your left).  At one point, you will think you have leveled off, but you have not and the climb continues as you reach an extreme hairpin turn.  Right after that you can breathe a sigh of relief as you reach the top.  You can pull onto the off-road area on your right.  Note that the signage for the trail is on the other side of the road.
